Trusts are important tools for both tax planning and general estate planning, however many practitioners have an inadequate understanding of the legal basis and tax regimes surrounding Trusts. The emphasis of this course will be on the practical considerations and even those who have not encountered Trusts before should, by the end of the course be familiar with the various types of Trust, the taxation thereof and a number of planning opportunities for the use of Trusts

The course will focus heavily on the practical considerations including case studies and simple planning issues using Trusts.
