This course will provide a general overview of the Irish Tax system to include a comparative analysis of the Irish & UK systems. The course will look in detail at the main taxes in Ireland, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT and Capital Acquisitions Tax. New to the course this year will be a review of the provisions of the Supplementary Budget of April 2009 & a review of the Relevant Contracts Tax Regime.

- VAT;
- Inheritance regime including CAT;
- Double tax relief UK / ROI; and
- Cross border issues between North & South.
